‘Ajax’ Glass Sculpture by Jablonski
Ajax is a majestic hurly burly of pure crystal set in coffee and ocean green.
Delightful retro colours and beautiful tall arches make this glass sculpture a strong addition to any room or conservatory.
The crystal arches have been worked superbly to give the piece great strength and yet let lots of light through it for a dramatic lighting effect.
This crystal glass sculpture will catch every sliver of sunlight and project it around the room.
This unique piece stands at almost 40cm tall and was one of the final pieces to leave the Jablonski Studio before it was closed.
Glass Sculpture Artist
The history of glass has spanned many thousands of years resulting in innovation and discovery. It took many dedicated and creative minds to take the craft to where it is right now. One of those minds belongs to Adam Jablonski – the highly regarded glass technician with a variety of patents and accomplishments under his belt.
He has invented new manufacturing techniques which have all enhanced the status of glass in the current day. One of those innovations was the act of incorporating little fibres of metal into molten glass which enhances the reflectivity of the glass.
Another innovation he’s responsible for is the creation of glass which can take on virtually any colour the artist requires. Not only have individuals and heads of state bought his glass, but museums showcase his work as well. Jablonski’s legacy will live on forever even though he is now retired.
There are still some Jablonski pieces on the market today, but prices are rising and availability is declining.
