Cenote Blue Glass Bowl

The Cenote Blue Glass Bowl really lives up to its namesake. A Cenote is one of those deep blue round holes filled with water that divers love to explore. A underwater swirl of darkest sea blue with hints of sea life and glimmers of light from above.

The blue glass bowl is a nod to the Chance style of handkerchief bowl but in a much more modern and exciting form.

This one off piece is too good for fruit and has to many holes in it to make a good fishbowl. This is an art glass piece that can be enjoyed without it having to function as anything other than a beautiful addition to your home.

Art glass has a certain mystique and personality to it which can be harnessed by the most skilful of artists to create beautiful, lively pieces. Adam Jablonski understands his relationship with glass and therefore has progressed to be one of the most influential glass makers in the world.

He was born in Poland and began perfecting his art since the year 1952 going as far as manufacturing his own furnace. Once he was set up with all the equipment, Jablonski began to innovate the field of glass manufacturing by making the glass more reflective and colourful.

People in high places eventually began to notice the excellent work he was doing and started to showcase and purchase his products. Many museums of glass as well as royalty, heads of state, and presidents now own his works.

Sadly, Jablonski has stopped practising his craft and his art is now being bought up rapidly; the art you see here won’t be available for long.
